A JOURNEY INTO LOVE, TRUST & ART
I first held a camera at eight years old — my Mom’s old Pentax film camera — and was entrusted with capturing my younger brother’s birthday “cake celebration.” From the moment I peered through the lens, I was captivated. Photography became my window into a world of story, light and intricate detail. Stacks of National Geographic magazines fanned the spark of fascination within me, planting the seed of a dream: that one day, I might become a photographer.
Later, in college, I discovered black-and-white photography and the quiet magic of processing my own film. Watching an image slowly emerge from a blank negative was nothing short of mesmerizing; a gentle reminder that beauty resides in the patience, ritual and craft of creating a moment frozen in time.
I officially embarked on my photography career in 2017. What began as casual requests from friends and family soon evolved into something far greater. I never imagined it would become a true vocation and I am humbled by it every day. A few weddings found their way to me through friends of friends and I was instantly drawn into the intimacy and enchantment of these celebrations: the joy of two people committing their lives to one another, the quiet tears during vows, the soft laughter over small, imperfect moments and the fleeting glances that speak volumes. These are the moments that stop me in my tracks, the ephemeral fragments where life’s heart truly resides.
My photographic style is rooted in a Fine Arts education and a lifelong love of travel, architecture and colour. I weave these influences into every frame, creating images that are at once fine art, documentary and quietly editorial. Each photograph is intentional, timeless and cinematic — capturing both the narrative of the day and the essence of the people within it.
What I love most about photographing weddings is the atmosphere of shared love — the anticipation, the subtle interactions between guests, the light and laughter children bring to the room. These unscripted, authentic moments are where my work finds its deepest resonance.
Creativity, for me, emerges from trust. My couples invite me into their day without knowing exactly how I will capture it, granting me the freedom to create with authenticity and care. That trust forms the foundation of beauty: a space where unfiltered artistry can flourish.
When clients receive their images, I want them to be transported. I want them to feel the emotions of the day as if it were unfolding anew: the happy tears, the lingering smiles, the quiet recognition of their own beauty and the love that surrounds them. Each gallery is crafted to preserve not just moments, but the depth of connection, intimacy and joy that make a wedding extraordinary.
I search for imagery that is authentic, transcendent and rooted in the human experience. I aim to capture the soul of my clients and preserve it forever: the generational hands clasping a new bride, a child gazing up with wide-eyed awe, the light dancing in everyone’s eyes, the laughter and presence of friends and family fully immersed in love. These are the moments that endure.
Looking ahead five or ten years, I hope my clients remember more than the images themselves. I hope they recall the love, the emotions and the care with which each session was held. I hope they feel the intentionality, the artistry and the way each photograph allows them to relive the fleeting, luminous beauty of their wedding day.
Wedding photography is, for me, not merely a career — it is a privilege, a craft and a love letter to human connection. It is an honour to witness, to document and to preserve the fleeting moments of life’s most profound celebrations. This is why I chose this path and why I show up each day with intention, heart and a dedication to capturing love in its most beautiful, authentic and enduring form.
