FAQ

How do you photograph weddings?

RP+D's goal on your wedding day is to provide you with a laid back and casual approach to photography. With all the stresses of the day itself, our goal is to be a part of the background and to blend into your event. Our camera will not be directly in your face unless you're the couple that loves photos and specifically asks for that (hello candids, here we come!!)!

The week leading up to your special day, we will reach out and arrange all scheduling and address exchanges. This opens up communication to discuss what timing will best suit your wedding day and the photos that you're hoping for. We absolutely ADORE when our clients give us a detailed list of all the family and friend photos that they're wanting photographed (and even love it more when they put someone in charge of gathering said people above!).

The day of your wedding, we would ask that you provide all the small details of your day and have them readily accessible. The smallest details make for the most beautiful and memorable photos -- be it rings, flowers, shoes, cufflinks, the brides jewellery etc. If you have these all ready and prepared to go, we won't need to bother you to find these items while you're getting ready.

Lastly, we LOVE to capture all the 'feels' so please just let them flow! The best photos capture the mood, the ambiance, the calm and the crazy of the day. Your wedding day will be filled with so many emotions and our goal is to capture and commemorate them all!

Where are you based and do you travel?

RP+D is located in Okotoks, Alberta Canada and she LOVES TO TRAVEL!!. If you are located outside of Okotoks, a travel fee will be added into your package price. Travel fees are charged out at $.50/km.

When will we get our photos?

You will receive your online gallery link with all your original photos from your session within two (2) weeks (sometimes less depending on the season we photograph your story). Once you've chosen your edits, you are able to download all the photos from the gallery, share them with your friends and family and also order prints directly from our site!

How many pictures will we receive?

Each individual session will always have a variance in photos taken. For a 12hr wedding event, you will typically receive between 400 to 600 images. As all originals are included in wedding packages, quality is always taken over quantity. Photos will be chosen that best show the significance and emotion of the moment.

are we able to purchase additional photos?

Always!! The packages are set up to be easy and efficient, but if you're hoping for additional images we can discuss additional pricing options.

Do you require a booking deposit?

A 50% retainer fee is due upon booking to hold your session date. This fee is non-refundable. The remaining balance is due the date of your session. If you cancel, your retainer is forfeited and may not be applied to another session. If you do not cancel and the photographer arrives at the location of the session you will be responsible for paying the remaining 50% balance.
