THINGS YOU May BE WONDERING

We’re awkward in front of the camera -- is that a problem?
Not at all. In fact, most of my couples tell me the exact same thing when we first connect. Very few people are used to being professionally photographed, and it’s completely normal to feel a little nervous about being in front of the camera.
My approach is designed to help you feel comfortable, connected, and present with one another rather than focused on the camera itself. Through gentle guidance and natural movement, I create space for genuine moments to unfold so your images feel authentic, relaxed, and true to who you are. The goal isn’t to make you look like models; it’s to create photographs that feel like you.
do you photograph weddings in calgary and southern alberta?
Absolutely! While I’m based in Calgary, I regularly photograph weddings, elopements, and engagement sessions throughout Southern Alberta and across Western Canada. Travel has become one of my favourite parts of documenting love stories, allowing me to photograph couples in locations that are meaningful to them, whether that’s in the mountains, on the prairies, or somewhere in between.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of photographing weddings and sessions in locations including St. Albert, Jasper, Banff, Canmore, Lethbridge, Brooks, and Medicine Hat, with many more destinations on the horizon. Whether you’re planning an intimate mountain elopement, a countryside celebration, or a wedding in a new city, I’m always happy to travel and would love to hear more about your plans.
What is your photography style?
My work is rooted in authentic, documentary storytelling. I focus on capturing real, unscripted moments as they naturally unfold, with minimal interruption and gentle guidance when needed. Rather than manufacturing moments, I look for the quiet interactions, genuine emotion, and subtle connections that make your story uniquely yours.
While beautiful portraits certainly have their place, I believe the most meaningful photographs are often found in the in-between moments: a reassuring hand squeeze, an uncontrollable laugh, a glance exchanged across a crowded room. My goal is to create imagery that not only reflects how your day looked, but how it felt to be there, preserving the emotion, atmosphere, and human connection that make each story unforgettable.
How far in advance should we book?
Most couples book 8–18 months in advance, especially for peak wedding season dates in Calgary, Canmore, Banff, and the surrounding areas. Popular weekends throughout the summer and early fall tend to fill quickly, particularly for Saturday weddings.
If you already have a date in mind, I always recommend reaching out sooner rather than later to check availability. Even if you’re still finalizing details, securing your photographer early can provide peace of mind and allow us plenty of time to plan an experience that feels seamless, intentional, and uniquely tailored to your celebration.
What makes your approach different?
I don’t just document how your wedding looks -- I focus on how it feels. My approach is unobtrusive, intentional, and centred around real human connection. Rather than constantly directing the day, I allow moments the space to unfold naturally, capturing genuine emotion as it happens; the anticipation before a ceremony, the squeeze of a hand, the tears, laughter, and quiet exchanges that often become the most meaningful memories.
While I’ll step in with guidance when needed, my priority is always preserving the authenticity of your experience. The result is a collection of images that feels honest, timeless, and deeply personal -- photographs that transport you back to not only what happened, but exactly how it felt to be surrounded by the people you love most.
How much does your wedding photography cost?
Each wedding is unique and I believe your photography experience should reflect that. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I work closely with each couple to create a collection that aligns with their celebration, priorities, and vision for the day. Whether you’re planning an intimate gathering, a mountain elopement, or a full wedding weekend, your experience is thoughtfully tailored to ensure the moments that matter most are documented with care.
Wedding collections begin at $3,500 and vary depending on coverage, location, and the overall experience you’re looking for. To provide each couple with a highly personalised experience and the level of attention my work is known for, I accept a limited number of weddings each year. This allows me to remain fully invested in every story I have the privilege of documenting, from our first conversation through to the delivery of your final gallery.
