GOLDEN GIGGLES & TENDER MOMENTS
Payton and Kaleb’s love is pure, flowing and entirely natural. From the moment we met, it was clear that theirs is the kind of connection that exists effortlessly -- soft, expressive and deeply rooted in joy. They are, without question, one of the most loving couples I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing. And while I often speak about how comfortable my couples feel in front of the camera, Payton and Kaleb did something rare: they made me feel comfortable behind it.
Their love is animated with laughter, quiet giggles and shared glances that need no explanation. Kaleb, in particular, was absolutely charming; constantly reminding his new fiancée just how beautiful she is and how deeply she lights up his world. In those small, tender affirmations, Payton visibly softened, her confidence growing with every word. It was a beautiful thing to witness and a powerful reminder of how love, when spoken freely, creates space for ease and authenticity.
Their engagement session took place in North Calgary, near their home, tucked away in an adorable park glowing at the height of autumn. The trees were rich with colour, the pathways inviting and every corner seemed to offer a new, beautiful backdrop. We spent the session wandering slowly, following the curves of the paths and pausing where the light felt just right, allowing their connection to unfold naturally and without interruption.
Golden hour wrapped the evening in warmth, casting soft light and delicate lens rainbows across their images. The glow felt almost symbolic -- gentle, romantic and full of promise. Every frame carried movement, laughter and the kind of authenticity that can’t be staged.
With a final, gorgeous moment sat on a rock in the middle of the park, the couple shared what they most looked forward to on their wedding day. Their words were sentimental, deeply moving and elicited tears even from myself; a quiet, heartfelt reminder of the depth of their love and the beauty of anticipation.
If giggles were contagious, Payton and Kaleb would absolutely make the world a brighter, happier place. Their joy is sincere, their love unmistakable and their story one that radiates warmth long after the sun has set.
